We here at Angie Rex were enormous fans of Mr. Lee Alexander McQueen since the beginning of his career, when he would refuse to have his face filmed in interviews. We were heartbroken at the news of his passing. The armadillo boots are probably, if not definitely, the most innovative and forward thinking shoes designed in this generation and undoubtedly will end up in a museum one day. What an incredible vision and talent… One can only hope that the house of McQueen can be sustained into the future by whomever fills the large gap left behind by its incredibly talented founder.
Have you seen Alexander McQueens’ boot named armadillo? Fashion issue of The New Yorker March 29, 2010 pages 70 and 71. What a loss of a great artist.
